Roles and Responsibility
Note that Steward and Executive Terms are for two years now, and the Faculties alternate election years, based on whether it’s an even year or an odd year. Click here to see the new terms of office, from the new bylaws.
The Local Secretary shall:
- issue notices for general meetings of the Union Local and the Local Executive Committee;
- cause to be maintained all membership records, documents and correspondence of the Union Local;
- keep a record of the minutes of such meetings; and
- act as the Bargaining Unit Secretary of the Bargaining Unit of which the Local Secretary is a member.
